Center of expertise for UV water treatment
The purpose of the Alliance is to set up connections among various supply chain partners and share expertise and best practices in UV technology, with a focus on sustainability and reliability.
UV Alliance structure
The Alliance consists of a foundation and an open community. The community gathers, shares, and publishes relevant content about the practical application of UV technology. The foundation supports this community by:
- Providing a digital knowledge center to share best practices on UV water treatment.
- Offering technical support to members regarding the application of UV technology in their own practices.
- Developing practical guidelines and standards.
- Facilitating events and attending/joining shows and conferences on behalf of the members.
- Supporting lobbying activities at the national and European levels.
UV Alliance Foundation
In addition to supporting the community, the foundation plays a key role in promoting the UV Alliance philosophy. The foundation organizes knowledge-sharing events and delivers presentations at conferences and events to explain what the UV Alliance does (and does not do). The foundation also manages the Alliance’s social media channels and publications through traditional media. Communication with other parties typically takes place through the board members of the foundation.
Our Vision
We believe that UV technology can add value to water in specific segments, upcycling water and reducing environmental, water, and energy usage. To properly value and apply UV technology, we need general standards: common principles.
Our Mission
The UV Alliance connects chain partners with the goal of promoting collaboration and developing practical standards for validating and testing UV-C treatment systems in water processes and applications. By consistently evaluating UV systems against these standards, we make the technology more accessible, enabling its more frequent and effective use.
